1. Who we are

2. What we collect and why
Information you give us
- Account and login details — your name and email address, used to create your account and to send you the login links, order confirmations and receipts the site generates. We do not store passwords; you sign in with a link sent to your email.
- Purchases — what you bought, when, the amount, and the order reference. Payment itself is processed by our payment providers (Paddle for store products, PayPal for training tuition); we never see or store your full card or bank details.
- Training enrolment — the details you enter on a sign-up form (profession, licence, experience, availability, timezone) so we can match you with a trainer and schedule sessions, and the contract you sign in your account.
- Newsletter and contact forms — your email address and any message you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Technical data — IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit, held in server logs for security and troubleshooting.
- Video viewing — for licensed video products we record playback progress (so you can resume) and display your email address and order number as a faint watermark during playback, to enforce the individual-use licence.

3. How we use your information
- to deliver what you bought or enrolled in, including access to downloads, videos, quizzes and certificates;
- to schedule and run training sessions and communicate with you and your trainer;
- to send transactional emails (order confirmations, login links, receipts, session notices);
- to send the newsletter, if you subscribed — every message has an unsubscribe link;
- to keep the site secure, prevent abuse, and enforce product licences;
- to meet legal and accounting obligations.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and similar jurisdictions, our legal bases are performance of a contract (purchases, enrolment), our legitimate interests (security, licence enforcement, service communication), consent (newsletter, non-essential cookies) and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).
4. Who we share it with
We share personal data only with service providers that help us run the site, and only what they need:
- Paddle — checkout and payment for store products (Paddle acts as the merchant of record for those sales and has its own privacy policy);
- PayPal — payment of training tuition;
- DigitalOcean — hosting, database and file storage (United States);
- Flowplayer — streaming of licensed video products;
- Google reCAPTCHA — protection of forms against automated abuse;
- YouTube — embedded preview videos on some pages;
- our email service provider [name the provider once the automated-email service is set up] — sending the site’s automatic emails.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with advertisers.
5. How long we keep it
Account, purchase and enrolment records are kept for as long as you have an account and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting rules require [confirm retention period, e.g. 7 years]. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security purposes.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to stop sending you the newsletter, or to provide a copy of your data. Write to cust-svc@coherenceinstitute.org. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
7. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on access-controlled servers. No method of storage is completely secure; we work to protect your data but cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. International transfers
CPI is based in the United States and our servers are located there. If you use the site from another country, your data will be processed in the United States.
9. Children
The site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last changed.
